CADMAC NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2013

The New Year should be a little happier as the fees have been reduced to a total of £90 for membership, although please don't attempt to fly until paid, as insurance will be invalid. We strongly request that all members pay their fees as soonas possible, not only for your own insurance cover but it helps our relations with the BMFA and makes the workload of our Membership Secretary much easier to deal with. We may have to request that Members provide prool of insurance cover, particularly at indoor meetings, as some other clubs have had serious issues in recent months.

The gate padlock combination will be changed by the end of February. Notification will be given in your mermbership documents. The fence has been partially repaired by the horse owners and due to a genuine concern of this happening again the horse owners havesuggested that they would like to install an electrified system which should prevent horses leaning over the fence and causing any more damage.

Those of you who are aware of the recent incident involving a Para-glider flying from the Wolston site, should know that we have had discussions with the pilot who has assured us he will not use our field ever again for this type of activity. Despite his sincere apology, and following further advice from BMFA, we have decided to withhold his application for Club membership for the foreseeable future.
We have had some issues with the gate not being locked properly. Please ensure the gate is securely padlocked using the combination as displayed on your BMFA Membership acceptance form.

CADMAC NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2013

Please note the Annual General Meeting on December Monday 2nd. Any proposals must be received in writing before November 4th signed and seconded. Thank you.

Please remember that there is only one meeting in December and members are encouraged to pay their membership fees before the end of the year, otherwise you will not be insured after Dec 31st.

Relationships with the horse owners are good, so let's keep it that way by maintaining the good flight discipline we have all been exercising over the last few months.

There have been issues with drivers bringing their vehicles up to the patch while people are flying - this is dangerous and should not happen again. Also, as the wetter weather sets in, we would stress not to bring vehicles up to the pits area as this would create mud and excessive ruts.

The building season is almost upon us, so please bring any interesting models along for all to see and share at any of the meetings in the New Year.

If you are reading a paper copy of this newsletter and would prefer it via email in future please let me know at coppards@talktalk.net .
