CADMAC NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2015

Please note the Annual General Meeting on Monday December 7th. Any proposals must be received in writing by November 2nd , signed and seconded. Also, please park your vehicles as efficiently as possible as this meeting will be well attended and no one will appreciate a traffic jam in the car park! Thank you.

Please remember that there is only one meeting in December and members are reminded that CADMAC and BMFA fees for 2016 are due by Jan 1st if you want to fly in the New Year – no payment means no insurance from Jan 1st ! All members are encouraged to renew their membership by the second meeting in January at the latest.

Check out the CADMAC website, Members Area, if you want to upload any aircraft related photographs. The Username is cadmac, password is the Field Gate number. Contact Mick Meah should you need assistance.

Our club is currently receiving regular concerns from the horse people about people flying low over the stable areas (in the dip to the right when looking towards the village – and not visible from the flightline). Please DO NOT fly low or perform aerobatic manoeuvres over the stable area. Thank you.

We would like to remind all members to take their own rubbish home and keep our flying site clean and tidy.

CADMAC NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2015

A big welcome to all new members for this year and remember there is plenty of help on hand should you need it.

Club and BMFA Fees are due from 1st January. Fees have been kept the same as last year at £90 for full membership, although please don’t attempt to fly until you have paid, as insurance will be invalid. We may have to request that Members provide proof of insurance cover, particularly at indoor meetings.

The gate padlock combination will be changed at the beginning of February. Notification will be given in your membership documents.

A date to look forward to will be 14th June which is our "Big Glider Day" when John Greenfield (Ghost Squadron) and Simon Cocker, model glider journalist and display pilot, will be on hand to demonstrate and coach us in the art of aero towing from both tug and glider pilots perspective. This will be a cracking Sunday at the patch so bring down your gliders or fit out power models with a tow release and join in the fun. John and his team will be able to offer expert advice on all forms of gliding although the main emphasis will be on aero towing.

Also please prepare yourselves and your glider for the 200 Watt maximum glider competition to be held in May or June this year. The Sonata traditional glider is the preferred "one design" but the 200W rule will allow any glider limited to 200W to enter.
